Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach, as part of their Planet 21 initiative held a cleanliness drive in collaboration with The Ministry of Tourism’s Special Campaign 2.0. With the intention of making the general public more conscious of their responsibilities towards the environment, the cleanliness drive was carried out at Juhu Beach. A majority of people are known to litter because they do not know the repercussions their actions tend to have in the larger picture. The drive fulfilled its purpose to a great extent as it witnessed bystanders join in with equal amounts of effort and enthusiasm, as they helped carry out the affair to fruition. Some were found looking for dustbins and trash cans to do their little part as well.

On the success of the drive, Gorav Arora, General Manager, Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach said, “We are extremely grateful to the Ministry of Tourism for helping us execute our mission triumphantly. We could see the impact it had on the people present in and around the venue and it’s a very touching moment for us to have made that kind of influence on them successfully. This only motivates us to further our initiatives in the right direction.” Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach also expressed that through their Planet 21 initiative they look forward to collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism in more such initiatives that ultimately result in the preservation and betterment of the planet.
