Marriott International has appointed Sahdev Mehta as the Executive Chef at Courtyard by Marriott, Pune Hinjewadi.
Previously heading the kitchen at Grand Hyatt Mumbai as Chef De Cuisine, Sahdev was in charge in opening the 55East restaurant there.
Trained under one of France’s greatest chef George Blanc at the Lyon Vonnas, Sahdev has more than 10 years of professional experience.
Sahdev started his career in the hospitality industry with The Taj in 2000 following which he joined the YTL hotels and gained valuable experience while working as the Chef De Partie for the multi award winning Pangkor Laut Resort in Malaysia.
Later Sahdev joined the ITC Grand Maratha, Mumbai as the Chef de Partie in 2002. He then moved on to work with the Carnival Cruise lines, where he was in charge of ‘The Lido’ and also worked for the award winning restaurant “Supper Club Kitchen”.
In his new role, Sahdev will be in charge of the overall operation and administration of the Culinary Team at Courtyard by Marriott, Pune Hinjewadi.
