Ista Hyderabad names new executive sous chef

Ista Hyderabad has appointed Avijit Deb Sharma as its new executive Sous Chef for the hotel.

Ista is the flag ship 5-star business hotel promoted by New Delhi-based IHHR Hospitality.

In his role, Sharma will be the second in command and will oversee the culinary operations at Ista Hyderabad.

He will also be responsible for maintaining the food standards, implementing new menus and standardising the recipes in order to maintain food quality. Sharma will be accountable for the training and development of staff while coordinating with all the other departments on various operational engagements.

Sharma started his career in 2002 with Oberoi Amarvillas and prior to joining Ista he was with the Leela Hotels, where he was a part of the opening team at the Leela Palace, Udaipur and the Leela Palace, Bangalore as Chef-in-Charge of fine dining restaurant ‘Royal Club.’
