Here is how hotels are celebrating Diwali 2022

With the festive season and hotels celebrating the same has been picking up after two long years of the pandemic, we ask hoteliers how they are celebrating Diwali 2022 with great enthusiasm and joy

  • Novotel Vijayawada Varun

On Diwali celebrations this year, Abhishek Pani, Hotel Manager, Novotel Vijayawada Varun expresses, “In lieu with our aim towards sustainability, we are celebrating green diwali at the hotel with no fire crackers among the other measures. Just like previous years, we are practicing vocal for local by decorating our hotel with the beautiful diyas made by the local vendors of the city. We have also associated with an NGO and will be sharing the joy of festivity with the kids of the NGO”.

Bhagwan Balani, General Manager ITC Grand Central discloses “Hoteliers in India are excited to embrace the festival of lights with much pomp and fervor this year. Especially, because post pandemic and the consecutive lock-downs, we have got this opportunity to come together without any fear and celebrate Diwali this year.”

He further adds “Our business, is back to normal standards, with delivery and takeaway orders spiking up for a variety of Indian sweets, savories’, chocolates and much more through the ITC app and also through guest phone calls. A large amount of bookings can also be witnessed in the restaurants to celebrate this festive season.”

“Our hotel ITC Grand Central in Parel Mumbai, is hosting pre Diwali festivities this weekend until Saturday. And brunch will be available on Sunday and Monday. Apart from the restaurant offerings, we have the festive Diwali hampers for gifting to our special ones. Indeed Diwali this year is very special for us, as we can feel the love and
light in the air.”

The staff will be placing special welcome amenities for the occasion along with greeting cards to make it a really memorable visit for all guests. The all-day dining restaurant Feast will host the Diwali Brunch showcasing an elaborate spread of delicacies for the occasion.”

He further adds “Internally, our celebration starts with a Laksmi Puja, praying for a better year ahead. A variety of activities like Rangoli competitions are held for the staff and employees keeping in tune with the festive spirit. All members of the staff during this period are in ethnic wear and enjoy decorating their respective departments for the occasion. The hotel distributes Hampers to all the employees, wishing them a happy and prosperous year ahead.”
