La Folie brings a whimsical twist to World Macaron Day

To celebrate International World Macaron Day (IWMD), Chef Sanjana Patel of La Folie has created special 25 flavours, both sweet and savoury, for just that day, which will be featured at the brand’s three outlets in Mumbai. Flavours such as candied bacon and maple syrup, peanut and green mango chilli, saffron kahwa tea, beetroot and chocolate, carrot and spiced pumpkin, cheetos and popcorn caramel, etc, will be on shelves along with the usual La Folie classics. Additionally, Chef Patel will host an interactive session with culinary experts including Chef Vicky Ratnani and Chef Alex Sanchez at the La Folie Lab.

Keeping in the spirit of giving, which is an important component of the IWMD, La Folie has collaborated with Angel Express Foundation for some fun activities. Around 10 children from the NGO will be introduced to these bit sized delicacies, while Chef Patel will encourage them to enjoy their different flavours. She will also help them decorate a macaron tower with macaron shells and a portion of the sales proceeds from macarons on IWMD will be directly given to the NGO.
