Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore ushered in Diwali in style with an exciting Ladoo making ceremony. The property located inside Bangalore’s luxury mall UB City on Vittal Mallya Road, started this ritual last year under their Executive Chef the renowned Altamsh Patel and his team.
As festivities in India are incomplete without the decadent spread of delicacies, the culinary team at Oakwood Premier Prestige gathered the beautiful guests of Bangalore to join in making their own box of Mawa Ladoo with a filling of Gulkand sprinkled with fresh desiccated coconut. The chef’s clever take on a traditional recipe!
The hotel’s high-spirited attempt to relive the culture and age-old traditions of Indian festivities was welcomed by the guests at the event. The venue, decorated in the traditional yellow and orange marigold dotted with Diyas, gave the place a true festive look and feel. The enthusiastic guests, fully armed with disposable gloves, chef caps and aprons were excited to try their hand in making this unique ladoo. Long-stay guests, staff and chefs of Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore, too joined to add to the fervour. The event was followed by hi-tea.
On this occasion, Wajeed Bagwan, General Manager at Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore said, “Diwali being one of the biggest festivals across the country, we wanted to connect with people through the age-old tradition of ushering in good tidings, dressing up the place and ourselves and enjoying some happy moments with our guests making and eating traditional sweets. We want this to be the beginning of good times, of better days to come and toast to that with our patrons and friends in style. The ceremony was organized keeping in mind the pandemic scenario and maintaining all the safety protocols.”
