To celebrate the auspicious festival of Durga Puja, Flury’s recently unveiled a 4ft Durga idol made completely out of edible chocolate.
This is a tribute by the legendary tearoom on Kolkata’s Park Street to one of the greatest festivals celebrated with great fervour in Calcutta.
The sculpture has been carefully crafted by Chef Vikas Kumar and his talented team of expert chocolatiers. It took them almost a week to curate the entire figure, which will be on display till Diwali. It will be immersed in milk for ‘bisharjan’ post the puja.
The idol weighs 25kgs and has intricate gold detailing done by edible gold dust.
