Taking a cue from the growing interest for Italian cuisine, Della Resorts in Lonavala has announced its latest epicurean addition, ‘Villa Bistro – The Modern Italian Restaurant and Bar’. Designed and conceptualised by Jimmy Mistry, this 180-seater indoor and outdoor dining destination is spread over 4000 square feet. Mistry created a brand new design inspired from the Parsi Gara embroidery and motifs with animal prints in a blue and white for this property.
Every piece of furniture and fixture across the restaurant’s indoor and alfresco area, including the tableware, lighting, cutlery and crockery, are available for sale at Villa Bistro from Della Gallery. This is the company’s in-house interior product supply company that conceptualises, designs, manufactures and sells home, decor, lifestyle and living products.
The Venetian style hideaway’s menu includes classic Italian dishes, from antipasti, wood fired pizzas to hand rolled pastas, seasonal salads and authentic tiramisu and Sicilian cassata. Its artisanal chocolate station has a section of alcohol chocolates and hand churned ice creams, which are packaged in the Villa Bistro signature design.
Talking about this culinary destination, Mistry said, “We wanted to give a theme to the restaurant that stands for the true essence of Italy. After careful thought and consideration, we decided to conceptualise our own signature Villa Bistro design that makes a focal attraction to the Italian bistro. Guests at Villa Bistro can expect an exceptional calibre of food and service that Della is known for and shall be delighted to witness the strong infusion and influence of rooted Italian décor and ambience at the restaurant.
