Votes in by HOT Awards Grand Jury

Members of the Hotelier India Awards Grand Jury cast their votes in 13 categories late last evening at the JW Marriott in Mumbai.

The most highly contested category – The General Manager of the Year – will be chosen at a later date, which is still to be confirmed. A shortlist of general managers has been chosen and will be announced shortly.

The winners will be awarded at a lavish ceremony, to be held on December 16 at The Westin Gurgaon in the National Capital Region on the last night of the Hotel Operations Summit India 2010, for which Hotelier India is a partner.

The Grand Jury, which comprised some of the top names in the business put their heads together for over seven hours and deliberated over 243 nominations that came in from 130 properties across India.

The panel of judges included Rajeev Menon area vice president for India, Pakistan, Maldives & Malaysia Marriott International, Anil Madhok managing director Sarovar Hotels, Kapil Chopra senior vice president Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Rajiv Kaul president The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts, Manav Thadani managing director HVS India, Vijay Thacker managing director Horwath India, Deepak Haksar Chief Operating Officer ITC and ITP Publishing India group editor Conrad Egbert.
