Sheraton Hyderabad in association with Asian Art House celebrated art and the re-opening of the art gallery at Link Cafe at the Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel. Asian Art House, which was co-founded by art connoisseur Rajika Mittra in 2006, has curated an eclectic collection of artworks from a range of Indian artists accompanied but some oil on canvas from Vietnam and an artist from the UK who showcased a special selection of legendary people who have colored the artist’s life.
Indian artists on display are legends like Gourishankar Soni from Jaipur, the maestro Vijayraaj Bodhankar from Mumbai who has entire shlokas from the Bhagwat Gita skilfully woven into the fabric of his works. Also featured in this show is the very talented Manoj Das, AJ Moujan, Samir Sarkar and upcoming female artists Sadaf Beg, Rangoli Garg & Madhavi Joshi.
The collection on display also features works from Vietnam and the UK; artists on display will be the celebrated Van The, Lam Phuoc Cuong and The Anh who showcased their stunning oil on canvas creations that are distinctly Vietnamese with a riot of bright colors that represent nature and the Vietnamese way of life. Shaun Heffernan – a celebrated artist from the UK who is now based in Hyderabad complimented the collection with his specially curated collection entitled ‘Famous Faces’ – a selection of Legendary people like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, John Lennon and Charlie Chaplin.
