The highlight of the larger villas is the strategically built pavilion together with a Maldivian style, hand-crafted deck, with sumptuous views of the ocean, a furnished sunken gazebo, and an open-air outdoor rain shower. Embracing the Maldivian architecture
The villas are built in traditional Maldivian architecture with sloped roofs and encapsulate views very effectively. Raising the bar higher, the Signature villas are designed for complete privacy and ensure that every little requirement of the visitor is taken care of. Artifacts from all around the world find place in these villas, with Turkish carpets, Balinese stone features, ocean inspired curios and metal sculptures calling these villas home.
When quizzed about the design, Maldives Hotel design expert Joe Prudente from Philippines, who has designed over 20 resorts in Maldives, shared, “I was inspired to adapt a minimal compilation of Middle Eastern motif, which somehow connotes Maldivian culture. This added feature epitomises the luxury resort accommodation of Hideaway.” The highlight of the rooms are spacious bathrooms with free standing Jacuzzi, his and her dressing areas, mirror TV, smart WCs, and rain showers.
Feast for all the senses
The Oasis restaurant is a feast for all the senses where sight, sound, scent and taste are all taken on an exotic vacation. It is inspired by the Mediterranean’s convivial coastline (Italy, Greece, Crete, Cyprus, Macedonia, Lebanon, Turkey, etc) and is designed keeping in mind local design influences in each of these. Private booths are created using intricately carved jaalis that are a signature style of the Signature villas and restaurant.
Flooring inspired by Middle Eastern design motifs, and an accompanying lounge and shisha corner with a homely ambience appeal to the discerning travel who has a soft corner for design and architecture.
