French President first guest at Taj’s Tata Suite

The newly renovated suite played host to the French President and French first lady Carla Bruni. Taj Palace Hotel, in the recent past has played host to various personalities and Heads of State including Hillary Clinton (US Secretary of State), General Parvez Musharraf (Then President of Pakistan), Tony Blair and Cherie Blair (Former PM of UK with his wife), Nancy Peloci (US Embassy- Speaker of the House), Matti Vanskaa (Prime Minister of Finland). President Sarkozy and his French delegation will now travel to Mumbai and will stay at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai.

According to a statement by the Taj group of hotels, the Taj Palace Hotel has been preparing enthusiastically for the French President’s visit. The hotel has undergone a recent refurbishment which includes updates to the Presidential Suite, Taj Club Rooms and ‘Durbar hall’- which according to Taj’s statement is the capital’s largest conference venue and luxury convention centre.

The Tata Suite has 16 spacious rooms, an en suite spa, a piano for music aficionados and art by contemporary masters.
