J&K Tourism Dept establishes emergency helpline for tourists

Cancellation of 42 flights on Tuesday left several tourists stranded

While many tourists flock to Jammu and Kashmir to enjoy snowfall, this time around the weather department has issued an orange alert and predicted intensified wet weather over the next couple of days. These inclement climate conditions could lead to heavy snowfall, rain and subsequent road blocks.

Already, the continuous snowfall and poor visibility has resulted in the cancellation of 42 flights across all airlines on Tuesday leaving several tourists stranded in the region. 

In view of this, the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism department established emergency helpline for tourists to facilitate help during an emergency arising due to extreme weather, rain and snowfall. In case of any emergency, tourists at Kashmir resorts can contact the concerned phone numbers 24×7.
