Bangkok’s Absolute Hotels Services today announced the addition of four upcoming hotels in India to its international portfolio of U Hotels & Resorts.
While these hotels are essentially those of its Indian management JV partner KBJ Hotels and do not have the U branding in their name, they will still be part of the U network.
“We realise that we must do things differently in India. Owners in this market prefer to have their own brands, which we are comfortable with as it’s being done here by other brands with considerable success,” said Jonathan Wigley, CEO, Absolute Hotels Services and chairman of the KBJ-AHS JV in India, Absolute KBJ Hotel Services India. The four hotels are due to open within Q3 and Q4 of 2011.
