In a recent announcement, American Airlines has declared that it will commence daily non-stop flight services between Bengaluru and Seattle in the United States from October 2020. This would be the first non-stop flight between Bengaluru and the US,” said the Kempegowda International Airport in an official release.
The daily services will cater to the corporate traveller’s demand of plying to Seattle and adjoining areas in the US. A 285-seater Boeing 787-9 aircraft is said to be operated by the airline on this route. With the commencement of services on the new route , passengers will now get an easier access to San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Denver, Arizona, Dallas, Chicago, West Coast and East states on a one-stop flight as compared to multiple stopover in the past. American Airlines is also expanding its code-share arrangement to include Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, which also intends to join the oneworld Alliance, the release added. Besides, Bangalore Airport recently launched new routes to Amsterdam and Addis Ababa, with Tokyo and Munich scheduled to begin shortly.
