OYO Hotels & Homes recently unveiled some interesting trends pertaining to travel and hotel bookings in its second edition of Oyo Annual Travelopedia, 2019. As per the findings, the maximum number of travellers and bookings received throughout 2019 came from the state of Uttar Pradesh, followed by Maharashtra and Karnataka.Capital city, Delhi retained its top spot as the city which recorded the maximum number of travel cancellations followed by re-bookings. Delhi also topped the popularity chart apart from being the most-searched destination.
The report also highlighted that the most popular time of the day to book an OYO was 11 am. Further, it revealed that the maximum bookings were received within the first 10 days of every month and it came from cities such as Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. In terms of mode of bookings, 92 per cent booked through OYO mobile app whereas 6 per cent of them used mobile web and 2 per cent of people booked through desktop web.
The Index also pointed out that every second, 5 OYO properties were booked and the brand has recorded a 2.7x year-over-year jump in the number of bookings as compared to last year.
