Malayalam actor, Dulquer Salmaan, receives UAE’s Golden Visa in Abu Dhabi

The long-term residence visa enables foreign national recipients to live, work and study in Abu Dhabi without the need of a national sponsor and with 100% ownership of their business in the UAE’s mainland.

Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan was conferred with a 10-year Golden Visa by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). The Golden Visa program was introduced in 2019 by the UAE Government. The long-term residence visa, valid for 10 years, enables foreign national recipients to live, work and study in Abu Dhabi without the need of a national sponsor and with 100% ownership of their business in the UAE’s mainland.

Actor Salmaan is known for his performance in movies like Karwaan, Charlie, among many others. Expressing his gratitude over receiving the Golden Visa, He said, “It’s a privilege and honour to receive the Golden Visa. It was wonderful to hear the future plans of the Abu Dhabi Government to promote film and production activities and encourage new talent locally and internationally.”

At the ceremony held in Abu Dhabi, HE Saood Al Hosani, Undersecretary of the DCT Abu Dhabi, presented the Golden Visa to Salmaan. Last month, Salmaan’s father, the 70-year-old Mammootty also received his UAE Golden Visa, which was conferred to him at the same time as Malayalam cinema’s other superstar, Mohanlal. He is the fourth actor from Malayalam industry to receive the 10-year Golden Visa.
