Crowne Plaza Chennai creates immersive virtual open house for events

Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park, the flagship Hotel of IHG Hotels & Resorts in South India, has emerged as a preferred weddings destination in the city. The hotel earlier this year launched a Hybrid Wedding Solutions campaign for myriad onsite and offsite hospitality experiences for the guests. The campaign was well received amongst to-be-wedded millennials driving up to more than 100 queries from South India in a short span of two months.

Continuing the stride, Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park became the first ever hotel in the city to create an interactive virtual open-house for Weddings & Social Events. This gave guests a first-hand exposure to ease of multicity connectivity during its ‘Let Talk Weddings’ event on 29th August, 2021. The #LetsTalkWedding event was designed to showcase integrated technology solution for Hybrid Weddings, along with unveiling of its newly renovated ballroom and showcase of upgraded food menu designed by hotels culinary brigade for the coming wedding season.

This Virtual Wedding Open House was an opportunity for guests to interact in real time with the hotels dedicated Crowne Meetings & Events team, from the comfort of their homes. Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park could drive great amount of digital engagement through this hybrid platform via WhatsApp chats, live interactions, and livestreaming.

Speaking about the initiative, Jit Bose, Area Director South India, IHG Hotels “It’s extremely satisfying to see how adoption of Hybrid solution is helping our guests to continue with their celebrations. In addition, we are now offering more than 50 unique external venues where our “Events on Wheels” team can cater to all your needs. Our team has been executing some great beach weddings. At Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park, we want to be a one stop solution for all of our guests’ celebrations and weddings requirements.”
