Hotelogix, a cloud-based Property Management System that serves both independent and chain hotels across the globe, has incorporated e-invoice support in its PMS for all subscribers in the Indian market. Electronic Invoice (e-invoice) is an invoice that is issued, transmitted, received, processed, and stored electronically using specific document formats. These are digital throughout the document lifecycle, from issuance to archiving.
This ubiquitous invoicing approach has immense automation possibilities that the Indian hospitality sector can benefit highly from. Apart from enabling greater control and visibility within the finance function, e-invoicing also increases the ability of buyers to make timely payments.
This move by Hotelogix is made in compliance with the Indian Government’s plans to bring all businesses with an annual turnover exceeding INR 50 crore under the scope of e-invoicing. To implement this mandate, the company has partnered with Binary Semantics Limited to integrate e-invoicing with its PMS.
The Hotelogix-Binary connection will thus help Indian hotels to comply with their statutory requirements. This integration will empower Hotelogix client hotels/properties, which are GST enabled to offer Electronic Invoicing to their travel agents, corporates, guests etc.
