Those working in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry can access a new way to develop their careers, thanks to the newly-launched Progressive Travel Training (PTT). It is offering travel agents a programme of 12 e-learning courses, of which three modules are available for free. This includes one on stress management, which is an extremely valuable asset for travel professionals, who have been working under such tough conditions during the pandemic.
Spearheaded by training and recruitment experts, Fiona Morrison-Arnthal, Tony Macdonald and James Roberts, PPT aims to evolve the way agents and hospitality industry professionals learn, and equip their staff. Delivered in easy to consume, bite-sized chunks, these e-learning courses can be easily accessed from anywhere, the flexible training has been created specifically for the travel industry.
Paid courses start from INR 3,097, which PPT claimed makes them affordable to all. By providing training that is either free or 90% cheaper than traditional one-day courses, the company’s founding vision is that travel professionals who might now be responsible for their own learning costs after being made redundant or becoming self-employed during the pandemic can pursue their career development. Even employers who want to invest in their teams, but faced tough trading conditions over the last 12 months, can do so.
The e-learning modules have been co-authored by senior travel industry experts and PPT’s co-founder, Fiona Morrison-Arnthal. Her extensive experience managing frontline agents, leadership in training and care for the sector have equipped her to lead the design and delivery of online educational content that those working in travel really need to succeed and thrive in their careers.
