The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and Travel XP jointly hosted a press conference on March 5th, 2021, announcing about their initiative which aims to promote tourism in the state of Uttarakhand.
Under this initiative, PHDCCI and Travel XP have come up with a film series based on the theme of “Uttarakhand Travel Diary”. The film covers the beautiful and unseen places of Uttarakhand and has been made in Hindi, English, Tamil and Bengali.
The event was graced by the presence of special guests including Rajya Sabha Member Naresh Bansal and Miss Asia World, Anukriti Gusain. The expo was led by President Uttarakhand PHDCCI Virender Kalra and Uttarakhand Tourism Committee President Hemant Kochhar of State Chapter PHDCCI.
The officials of the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) appreciated the move which aims to promote the state’s tourism nationally and internationally.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest, Naresh Bansal said “the state Government and Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board are continuously working to bring state tourism on the world map. The influx of tourists in the state will increase through this film, which will also open up employment opportunities for the travellers, taxi drivers and local youth of the state.”
He said that “the tourism in Uttarakhand needs to be strengthened in the next five years. The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board has brought the concept of 13 districts, 13 destinations which will be a great success in near future.”
Special guest Anukriti Gusain, Miss Asia World said “there are many such destinations in Uttarakhand that can be presented on the global platform. The identity of the state is from the women of Uttarakhand. More than 10 thousand women have been trained under her organization in making products from Ringal, Bhimal which is also making them self-sufficient.”
Regional Director Travel XP Anil Taneja said “Uttarakhand Travel Diary is an important platform provided by Travel XP, which has reach in more than 50 countries. The travel diary will showcase the unseen treasures of the crowning glory of the Himalayan kingdom of Uttarakhand which will definitely attract quality tourists from the world and will present our state in a new light.”
Director, Travel XP, Rohan said that 15 destinations of the state have been screened in this film which will be broadcasted in more than 50 countries in 16 languages from Friday 5th March at 7:30 pm. He said that 10 episodes of this film have been prepared in which he is accompanied by a dog named Healer who will be seen exploring the beautiful places of Uttarakhand.
