In a bid to assure the guests with high standards of cleanliness and safety, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has announced the launch of Suraksha, a comprehensive hygiene and disinfection program.
The new hygiene programme has been designed in association with Bureau Veritas. The enhanced hygiene and safety measures introduced by Leela Group aims at delivering a contactless experience to guests which are enabled by a technology-driven process.

As a part of the safety and hygiene protocol for F&B outlets at all the Leela properties, the seatings at the restaurants will ensure social distancing. E-menus will be introduced that can be viewed by guests on their respective phones; natural immunity-boosting beverages will be included in the menu; kitchen team will mandatorily have to use PPE kits to prevent cross-contamination; hygiene training will be provided to all the staff members, hand sanitisers will be made available in restaurants; food will be prepared in small quantities to ensure fresh food is served to guests; all the vegetables, fruits and groceries will be thoroughly washed and sanitized and all the dishes will be washed at 80 degrees Celsius.
The hotel group will also focus on leveraging technology to offer safe stay and contactless experience to their guests. Services such as contactless check-in and checkout will be provided with the privilege of paying through phone during check out. High bar pressure dry steam cleaners will be used for housekeeping; electrostatic sprayers, a hospital-grade disinfectant will be used; the guests will be provided with full access to digital news and e-papers instead of print newspapers.
Other measures such as regular temperature checks of all associates and partners upon entering the hotel premises; alarms will be set for all the associates as a reminder to sanitise themselves; all surfaces across public areas will be frequently cleaned and sanitized at regular intervals; deep cleaning and application of disinfectants in guest rooms, fitness centres and restaurants; cleaning of all high-touch points like door handles, elevator buttons, countertops, tabletops and railings and use of hotel cars for transferring guests (sanitisation and inspection of all cars will be inspected by the concierge team) and deployment of the task force and a dedicated hygiene manager, to ensure that all protocols/measures are strictly followed across all hotels.
