As three new cases of novel Coronavirus were reported in India, including capital city of Delhi, Telangana and Rajasthan, the Union Health Ministry further advised the citizens to avoid non-essential travel as a precautionary measure. As per the advisory, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has requested the citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Singapore, Republic of Korea, Iran and Italy.  He further informed that the people coming from South Korea, Iran and Italy or having such travel history since February 10, 2020, may be quarantined for 14 days on arrival to India.

While the citizens are fearing the further spread of Coronavirus and its impact on the industries including tourism, Prahlad Patel, Tourism Minister, has  assured that the country is safe and precautionary measures are undertaken to avoid further outspread. In a recent statement, he said that, “the government is aware that the whole world is worried about the coronavirus outbreak, but be assured that India remains safe and secure. The government is taking all necessary steps and maintaining vigil at all international airports.”

As per statistics, the novel Coronavirus has taken away lives of 2,912 people in China and has, according to a WHO situation report, spread to at least 58 countries.
