With hospitality projects like St. Regis Hotel, Mumbai; The Westin, Pune, Le Meridien, Nagpur and Hotel Sun-n-Sand, Pune and upcoming project W Retreat and Spa, Goa, ABIL Group is looking forward to 2016-17 with great expectations and excitement. The supply created 4-5 years ago, will now see a profit from the ever increasing growth of business travellers in India. “I have noticed a new trend of increased number of short vacations and weekend getaways being indulged by customers in the middle and upper sections of society. This has resulted in the progressive growth of the leisure market. Today, even the younger audience enjoys travelling and exploring new places which means there is an increase in the spending ability of this age group,” says Amit Bhosale, whose understanding of the market trends and demands has led to some of the most successful properties with the management partner Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
F&B has a major impact on the hospitality industry and patrons place great importance in choosing the right hotel and relish a variety of international cuisines and modern dining experiences. “For new projects, it is important to develop fresh and interesting partnerships. While partnering with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, I encourage and advise the use of specialised F&B strategies and plans for our clients. At hotels with pre-existing F&B plans, after research and strategising, we suggest amendments that would help increase footfalls. For new hotels that we build, I look at independent F&B brands to be brought into the hotel,” he reveals.
Over the last few years, hotels situated around business hubs had hit a rough patch in terms of business generation and revenue, but 2016-17 promise a marked improvement in this sector, which will surely work to the advantage of ABIL Group.
