Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre appoints Gaurav Malhotra as Executive Chef

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre has appointed Gaurav Malhotra as Executive Chef. A diploma holder in hotel management from Mumbai’s Sophia Polytechnic College, he was part of the pre-opening teams of Holiday Inn Mumbai and Sofitel Mumbai BKC. He has also worked with brands like The Kensington Close Hotel & Spa, Center Parcs and Sofitel and been with AccorHotels since the last five years.

Playing a key role in Sofitel Macau’s securing HACCP certification, Chef Gaurav has won a Level 2 award in Food Safety & Catering from Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, London. He also secured the Silver Award in the Hotelympia Salon Culinnaire, at The Hospitality Show 2008 in Excel, London.

Chef Malhotra won several accolades at The Wessex Salon Culinaire at Hotel & Catering Exhibition in Bournemouth, UK. His area of expertise is Western Contemporary (French, Mediterranean, Asian) cuisine. Blending his rich experience with the flavors of all the restaurants he has worked at, Malhotra believes that the secret to creating some of the most special recipes with a unique flavor comes from his unique hobby of experimenting with various ingredients. He believes in using fresh local ingredients for his recipes.
