Milagrow introduces robotic lawn mowers with 13 sensors

Milagrow has introduced three robotic lawn mowers with 13 sensors that can be operated without human intervention. This includes a sensor that detects whether the robot is being lifted causing the blades to stop rotating almost immediately. There is also a rollover sensor that stops the blades, and a tilt sensor cuts the power off if the device is at an angle of more than 30°. Obstacles are detected by touch sensors that cause the robots to change their direction. Torque sensors ensure that the wheels are not damaging the lawn being mowed, while rain sensors ensure that the robots retreat to the base, if it rains.

The lightweight Milagrow lawn mowers, which can mow up-to 27878.4 square feet daily, are ergonomically designed to offer easy manoeuvrability  Additionally, they are easy to use and operate as compared to conventional fuel-generated products, and hence are environment friendly.

Since these mowers run automatically, not only can they be scheduled to operate at specific times of the day, but users can also select up to three sub areas on particular times daily. All three robots work with minimal human supervision and can manoeuvre on slopes, avoiding potted plants or trees in their way, go back to charge on their own, according to the company.

Talking about products, Debashish Das, CEO of Milagrow, said, “We have a host of robotic products that are meant to replace humans serving humans for menial tasks. Our Lawn Mover robot is like a Google driver-less car; once installed and programmed it will cut the grass finely and push it into the soil to act as a natural fertilizer. This is a wonderful product to maintain the lawn in a hassle free, environment friendly way.”

The lawn mowers are now available with a one-year warranty and are priced between Rs. 69,990 to 129,990.
