AHS adds four new U hotels from India

Bangkok’s Absolute Hotel Services today announced the addition of four upcoming hotels India to its international portfolio of U Hotels & Resorts.

While these hotels are essentially those of its Indian management JV partner KBJ Hotels and do not have the U branding in their name, they will still be part of the U network.

“We realise that we must do things differently in India. Owners in this market prefer to have their own brands, which we are comfortable with as its being done here by other brands with considerable success,” said Jonathan Wigley, CEO, Absolute Hotels Services and chairman of the KBJ-AHS JV in India, Absolute KBJ Hotel Services India.

These hotels are due to open within the Q3 and Q4 of 2011. They are the 75-room KBJ Stupas Kushinagar, the 75-room KBJ Five Colours Bodhgaya, the 75-room KBJ Touchstone Khajuraho and the 111-room KBJ La Casa Bella Goa.

KBJ’s first hotel is the 133-room KBJ Grand Varanasi.
