Birgit Holm has been appointed as General Manager for Hyatt Regency Kolkata. A graduate of the Copenhagen Hotel and Restaurant School, she started her hospitality career in 1988 as front desk manager at Hotel Kong Fredrik Copenhagen and later got a certificate at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. After gaining work experience in the culinary field in renowned New York restaurants, she moved to the St. Regis New York as a manager of food & beverage in 2002. Her next assignment was as account executive manager for the catering and event-planning business, Canard Inc. New York. Four years later, she moved to New Delhi where she held the position of Vice President International Sales for The Oberoi Group Corporate Office New Delhi. In her last assignment, Birgit successfully established the Dusit Devarana Hotels and Resorts in New Delhi. She joined them in 2009 as General Manager and was associated with them for six years. She has an extensive hands-on industry experience and a passion for people and service. As a General Manager, Birgit Holm will oversee the strategic and financial performance of Hyatt Regency Kolkata .She will ensure that the basic principles of Hyatt Regency brand are imbibed at every level.
