Classic Marble Company (CMC) has introduced two new KalingaStone products—Manhattan and Droplet from its Pietra Dura collection.
A unique offering, Pietra Dura is inspired from the ancient Parchin-kari artwork that uses the inlay technique for creating a fusion of two or more stones. Manhattan and Droplet are created by embossing one engineered marble stone onto another, which have been carved out to accommodate the former.
In the case of Pietra Dura, the stone combinations have the Terrazzo marble inlayed in a marble slab with plain background. CMC uses ‘Water Jet Technology’, a high pressure water jet for carving the niche in marble.
The process uses CNC machine for carving grooves into marble slabs in predefined shapes with high pressure waterjet.
The product is available in 2 x 1.5ft size and in thickness of 18mm and allows customization in colour, size and thickness as required. The slabs are extremely strong and durable. The products are recommended for flooring, wall panel, and counter top applications.
