The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and its training partner REACHA (Research and Extension Association for Conservation Horticulture and Agro-forestry) have proudly launched the Home Stay Host Training Programme, a transformative initiative aimed at empowering 160 enthusiastic young individuals from the scenic region of Arunachal Pradesh.

The official launch ceremony took place at Indira Gandhi College, Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the concerted effort to promote skill development and economic prosperity in the region.

Rajan Bahadur, CEO of the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, expressed his enthusiasm for the program stating, “We are excited to embark on this journey of skill development and empowerment in partnership with REACHA. By providing comprehensive training to Arunachal Pradesh’s youth, we are not only enhancing their employability but also fostering sustainable tourism in this beautiful region.”

This Home Stay Host Training Programme is the outcome of a collaboration between India Infoline Finance Limited (IIFL) Foundation, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) under the Ministry of Defence, Lohitpur Brigade, and Dao Division. Their shared vision is to uplift the lives of underprivileged youth and contribute to the prosperity of the region while simultaneously boosting tourism in Arunachal Pradesh.

Nikhil Pant, Chief Executive Officer at REACHA, said, “Through this program, we aim to equip young individuals with the skills necessary to become ambassadors of our region, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich culture and hospitality that define Arunachal Pradesh.”

The initiative aims to equip participants with essential hospitality skills, enabling them to offer warm and authentic hospitality experiences to tourists. As a result, it is expected to attract more tourists to the region, thereby boosting the local economy and providing new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
