VFS Global and Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) in association with Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, undertook hospitality training programme of 25 young women from the marginalised communities. The 150-hour training programme was conducted at PMKK Lucknow through an affiliated training partner Mahendra Skills.
Commenting on the programme, Jyoti Mayaal, President TAAI, said, “CSR initiatives for skill development is a wonderful initiative. There are many youths who after completing school education are not able to afford courses which can help them get gainful employment opportunities. Through this special initiative, young women will get hyper local job opportunities and add substantially to their household income. More and more women skilled workers are joining the travel, tourism and hospitality industry and there will be a day when they play more than equal role in the country’s employment scenario.”

“Caring for our communities is an important pillar of our sustainability strategy, and we continue to support communities around us through strategic collaborations with industry partners and credible social organisations while aligning with local needs and government priorities,” said Sukanya Chakraborty, Chief Communications Officer & Head of CSR.
