Leading General Managers from across India converged for an invigorating exchange of information, ideas and insights at the recently held ‘Hotelier India GM Summit’.

Veterans came together to share their perspectives on leadership, sustainability, manpower management, fiscal decisions and augmenting growth.

Informal conversations extended post-event over networking cocktails and dinner, along with visits to accompanying exhibit stalls.The main event, however, started with a robust welcome address by Bibhor Srivastava, Managing Director, ITP Media India. A striking AV was flashed which elaborated the journey of the ITP Media Group in India and around the globe.

Varun Chhibber, General Manager, The St Regis Mumbai, expressed his gratitude for being the hotel partner at the GM Summit and starting off his new stint as the General Manager of The St Regis, which was followed by a brief address by Tushar Verma, Leader, Project Sales India, LIXIL Water Technologies APAC, on their latest innovative products by LIXIL, GROHE, American Standard.

The event further led to an interesting panel discussion on ‘Innovation in Disruptive Landscape’.

Mahesh Aiyer, CEO, Carnation Hotels (the management subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels), was the moderator along with the speakers – Yazad Marfatia, Regional Director-Sales and Marketing Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels; Lokesh Sabharwal, Regional Vice President, Operations, India & South West Asia, Hyatt; Parveen Chander, Executive Vice President-Sales & Marketing, IHCL; Gaurav Singh, Market Vice President, South & East India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, Marriott International and Ranjan Malakar, Senior Regional Director Operations, Hilton, India.

After conclusion of the first panel discussion, Philipp Grubelnig – Sales Director, BMW Group India, gave a sneak peek into the world of BMW, which was followed by a short BMW clip showcasing their new model BMW iX: JOY. BORN AGAIN, which was also displayed at the event.

The evening then proceeded with the second panel discussion on ‘Driving Shareholder Value in the New World Order’.
