This initiative taken by Courtyard By Marriott Agra merges with Marriott International’s global vision of building sustainable operations and creating a widespread network of Electric Vehicle charging stations.
Saurabh Khanna, General Manager, Courtyard By Marriott, Agra, said, “CHARGE ZONE has installed two fast charging stations at the property that are designed to charge these vehicles from 0 to 80% within 45-60 minutes.
We believe that travellers around the world are extremely conscious of their carbon footprint and yearning to engage with hotels practicing sustainable and responsible business practices.” Courtyard By Marriott, Agra, invited Navneet Singh Chahal, District Magistrate of Agra as their Chief Guest, for the launch of their EV charging zone. He mentioned, “We are now seeing a migration across the globe with people shifting towards alternative and green modes of transportation.
We continuously want to reduce the carbon foot print and adapt sustainable means of living for a better future.” The inaugural event was also attended by Vishwanath Sharma, Regional Officer, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
