Chef Avijit Sharma has been appointed as the Executive Chef of Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport. Prior to this assignment, he was executive sous chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore.
After training at IHM Bangalore, Chef Sharma joined Oberoi Amarvilas Agra and later went on to work with brands like The Leela and the Taj Hotels and Resorts. He also worked with Ista Hyderabad (now The Hyatt) as executive sous chef and Park Hyatt Resort & Spa Goa as executive chef. Over his 14-year career, he has handled operations, staffing and training, developing and implementing concepts and new trends in the culinary industry.
