After weathering two extraordinarily challenging years, the travel industry has returned with joy and zest, and here is good news for Rajasthan. In the 11th edition of readers’ choice, Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards, Rajasthan has been voted as the ‘Best State’ in the domestic destination category. On behalf of the Department of Rajasthan Tourism, Daleep Singh, Deputy Director (Marketing and Social Media), received the award on Wednesday at a glittering function held at the hotel ITC Maurya in New Delhi.
Dr. Rashmi Sharma, director of tourism for the Rajasthan government, commented on the recognition and how it made her feel, saying, “This is an important award, and this makes us feel proud. Through targeted actions and a comprehensive strategy, the Department of Tourism continues to establish Rajasthan as a famous tourist destination. Today, Rajasthan offers a remarkable cultural heritage and wildlife experience to its visitors, as well as upgraded tourism infrastructure and services, ideal conditions for year-round holidays and unique, authentic experiences.”
She added that awards like these boost our determination to achieve new heights and bring Rajasthan tourism to the top of the global map.
