Blue Iris Hotels debuts in Northern Karnataka, launches 3 brands

Blue Iris Hotels, Resorts and Adventure, a hotel management company, has introduced three hotels, under individual brand names, in Northern Karnataka. These brands will cater to the mid-segment hotels and upper mid-segment hotels.

The company has been in the hospitality business for over seven years; owning and operating its owned hotels in Hubli under the aegis of HRK Hospitality. “We have now diversified into hospitality management and have set up Blue Iris as a company and brand to operate our own assets. This will also enhance our brand value since we will operate managed properties under our various brands for owners looking to optimise and enhance their asset value and operations,” said Russell Gregory, VP and Brand Custodian, Blue Iris Hotels, Resorts and Adventure.

Blue Iris will introduce the 65-key The Phlox hotel in Hubli on 1st July 2021, followed by launch of Blue Iris Destination resort in Dharwad and The Whistling Woodz By Blue Iris, a 98 key adventure resort, in Dandeli. All three hotels will be operational this quarter, Gregory claimed. He added that these properties would deliver creative guest experiences, signature meetings and events spaces with an elevated focus on guest wellness.

The Phlox is conceptualised as a premium hotel aimed at discerning guests, while Blue Iris Bliss is a mid segment property catering to the price-conscious young travellers who seek comfort and quality at a reasonable price. Blue Iris Boutique are aesthetically designed mid-scale hotels with limited rooms and limited service. They will accommodate students, back packers and transit passengers who seek a good night’s sleep in a comfortable environment.

Blue Iris Hotels, Resorts and Adventure’s CMD, Anand Kalwad, is a first generation entrepreneur with over three decades of experience in real estate development. He ventured into the hospitality business in 2005 with a resort in Dharwad and has since expanded into mid-scale and upper mid-scale hotels and resorts. He now intends to expand the more hospitality ventures in newer tourist locales of the country.
