With the focus shifting globally towards better dietary habits, bite-sized and shared desserts are gaining popularity among guests wanting to indulge without upsetting their diet goals. We are seeing an increasing demand for individual cakes, cannoli and mini pastries. Trends capitalize on fusions or combination of popular tastes that were unable to replicate the success of classic or authentic desserts passed down through generations. Classic Italian and Indian desserts have enjoyed a legacy that their newer counterparts have just not been able to replicate. We look at educating and familiarizing our guests about popular global desserts, and looking beyond the traditional sweetmeats associated with special occasions. By integrating them in the menu of social events conducted at our hotel, we ensure that a larger audience is exposed to these classics, and boost its consumption and value locally.
