1. How does lighting impact hotel design and guest experience?

Lighting in a hotel plays an integral part in enhancing guest experience. The lighting
layout design is designed based on the estimated number of luminaries selected for the installation. The arrangement of luminaries needs to be authentic and environmentally friendly. It should also be equipped in providing uniform illumination with minimum or no glare. The arrangements needs to be taken into consideration are- the interior design of the building and to make the best usage of the available light from the luminaries such that it avoids the interference and achieves the ease of maintenance required.

2. What are the latest trends and technologies in Lighting?

The proven technology for efficient lighting remains Light Emitting Diode(LED’s) which are been widely used now. LED’s coupled with smart automation/need based usage can result in considerable electricity savings and thereby reducing the impact on the environment.

3. How has the hotel deployed lighting to address is sustainable goals?

ITC Grand Central is a LEED Platinum certified hotel. Thus, the usage of lighting inside the hotel is planned and monitored in a sustainable way; such that it has minimum impact on our planet. We believe in a sustainable tomorrow!
