The 12th Culinary Art India 2017 was held alongside AAHAR and ended with a gala award ceremony on 11th March, 2017. Organized by the Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) in association with Hospitality First and ITPO, the competition saw the involvement of over 300 chefs, including 14 entries
The five-day affair included competitions in 16 categories including two additional categories of Chocolate Mania and Sushi Platter, which was judgedby certified chefs from World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) and food critics. Chef Willment Leong, chairman of World Chefs without Borders, founder chairman of Thailand Culinary Academy and VP of Thailand Chefs Association was the chairperson of the jury. Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi bagged the maximum awards.
Talking about the event, Chef Davinder Kumar, president, ICF, said, “This is a professional culinary challenge where chefs are given a platform to demonstrate their skills that can help them improve enough to meet international standards. All participants and members are assured of total transparency through structured rules, regulations, systems and panel of WACS-certified judges.”
Chef Vivek Saggar, ICF’s general secretary noted, “This event has evolved from a competition to an educational platform for chefs to learn exchange and showcase their culinary skills.”

- 3-Tier Wedding Cake – Ramesh Ranwar (The Royal Plaza)
- Petit Fours & Pralines – Avneet Kaur (Cook and Bake Academy)
- Three Course Set Dinner Menu – Varun Chauhan (Hotel Le Meridien)
