Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris announced the opening of Taj Swarna, Amritsar, the group’s first hotel in the city, strategically locatedapproximately 30 minutes from the international airport and Shri Harmandir Sahib shrine.

Commenting on the opening, Sumeet Taneja, GM, Taj Swarna, Amritsar said, “Our hotel pays homage to Amritsar’s cultural and spiritual identity through local art and design while offering an urban sanctuary for residents as well as business and leisure travellers alike, extending the distinctive warmth and legendary hospitality of Taj.”
Taj Swarna, Amritsar in Basant Avenue comprises 148 rooms and nine suites, including a Presidential Suite. The lawns offer an outdoor entertaining space with over 5000 square feet along with a banquet hall of 7000 square feet, at a convenient distance from the Golden Temple.
The hotel features three restaurants – a casual all-day diner, Grand Trunk, The Chinese Room with flavours from the Far East and The Peg Bar and Lounge. The Jiva Spa and Salon is will help guests unwind with treatments that draw inspiration from the ancient wellness and healing heritage of India.
