HRS, a global end-to-end hotel solutions provider, has launched a new office in Bangalore and also appointed a managing director, Santosh Kumar, for HRS India. The business travel segment in India has developed significantly in recent years and is now among the world’s top 10 business travel markets. The new office in Bangalore and growing team are two strategic steps for HRS’ business expansion in India. Bangalore office is the third office HRS has launched in India after Mumbai and New Delhi respectively.
Kumar was previously the director of corporate solutions of HRS India. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and the Indian School of Business, he has a rich experience in business development and partnership management in the business travel industry. Kimi Jiang, VP, Asia Pacific, HRS said, “India is one of the major markets of HRS Asia Pacific region, the increasingly active economy of the country shows us a huge growth potential in business travel segment. The newly launched office in India is another step forward in our commitment to HRS clients in this region.”
“HRS’ business in India has significantly grown since its market entry two years ago. It is the exclusive hotel service provider to several large local and multinational companies offering them services including intelligent sourcing, online booking portal and mobile App technology,” added Kumar. HRS is also focused on the supply side of significantly increasing the overall hotel coverage across all categories in tier-1 to -3 cities.
