The Concierge Association of the western region celebrates through service

The Concierge Association of the western region concierges scaled about 2,500 feet above sea level to deliver raincoats, books and basic stationery to a village school up in the Western Ghats. They were 19 Concierge delegates including some friends and children of the concierges led by their leader Albert Amanna from the InterContinental Hotel. Amidst the rough monsoon weather these concierges braved up to carry on a task which is a diligent annual activity for the association. The concierges that participated for this event were from the Four Seasons Mumbai, Intercontinental MarineDrive, ITC Maratha, ITC Grand Central, Sahara Star, Renaissance, Novotel, Trident Nariman Point, The Orchid, Waterstones Hotel, Sofitel Mumbai and Palladium Hotel Mumbai. This school was built in 1995 by the Raigad Zilla Parishad, but since then there has been no progress. The school presently holds about 37 students from the village that is made up of 32 families. The school teacher arrives from the city only once in the week to teach these students abd doesn’t turn up during the bad weather at all. Resulting the children have started going to the ashram school in another village. The concierges in the city together conduct these social service activities through their association — Les Clefs d’Or India the Society of the Golden Keys. These concierges are a brand ambassadors to their respective hotels and are knitted together through their association which
snetwork together to create delight for their guests staying with them. There was true display of their motto which reads “Service through Friendship”.
