Earth Hour; initiated for the first time in 2007 is the world’s largest grassroots movement in existence to uplift the environment. Blue Tribe, a foodtech company pioneering in plant-based meat products, is boosting this movement by building a conversation around climate preservation and a sustainable future in the country. It has joined forces with World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an international non-government organization. They plan to pool resources to stir up a conversation around conscious choices and urge followers to participate in the Earth Hour scheduled this year on March 26, 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
As part of this collaboration, Blue Tribe, a plastic neutral brand is reaching out to its diverse customer base across the country through emails and social media channels. The idea is to make people aware of their water and plastic footprint. A dedicated page of WWF assists users in swiftly checking their water and plastic footprint by simply asking some fundamental questions.
Once users get their results, the page further provides information about the ways people can reduce the unnecessary usage of water and plastic. The ultimate motive of this collaboration is to blitz people’s consciousness and make the 5R (Refuse, Reuse, Reduce, Recycle and Repurpose) an integral part of their day-to-day lives.
