AB InBev India is extending its support to local communities near its Crown and Charminar Breweries in Sangareddy district of Telangana who have been affected by the pandemic. Its team is working with local authorities and medical officials to distribute essential ration kits comprising food and sanitation supplies.
More than 2,000 families across 11 villages in the state’s Sangareddy district were provided with 15 kg essential supplies, which include rice, wheat flour, oil, spices, lentils, salt, sugar as well as sanitisers and soaps.
Last month, the company committed more than 300 oxygen concentrators, over 8,000 essential aid kits to Covid-19 affected families, over 5,00,000 masks, 5,000 plus test kits in 50 villages across the country.
In 2020, AB InBev sought to assist more than 15 lakh frontline workers across Telangana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Haryana by providing over 2,50,000 bottles of hand sanitisers, 3,750 PPE Kits and 25,000 FFP2 masks.
