As the country is prepping up to get back regularity in lives of every individual, Hotel Sahara Star has joined hands with The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) – Boys Home and SKAL Mumbai South 732 to extend their support to the community by providing meals to the young boys.
The Sahara Star Team led by Manish Sodhi, Chief Executive Officer and a few senior leaders of Sahara Star and SKAL Mumbai South 732 hosted a sumptuous lunch for the children at YMCA Boys Home, Andheri this 23rd August 2021.
This initiative led by Sahara Star will be implemented till for the next one year. The children not only relished the lunch but also adored the time spent by the Sahara Star Team with them.
Speaking at this occasion, Sahara Star’s Training and CSR Manager, Karishma Raghuvanshi also briefed the YMCA team of the various other programs the Hotel would like to introduce which would certainly benefit the overall growth and development of these young boys. This would also include on the job training so that they can sharpen their skills for the professional world.
Through this CSR initiative, Sahara Star aims to deliver over 60 meals one day a week to the YMCA boys home at Andheri for. The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) is one of the oldest and largest non-profit community service organisations in India. YMCA Boys Home, established in 1964, having destitute and boys from families unable to support them, provides the support base to enable them a better future. The children are provided with overall development of body, mind and spirit through various activities, interactions and programs.
Manish Sodhi, Chief Executive Officer, Sahara Hospitality Ltd, said, “ These are challenging times and we at Sahara Star want to carry on supporting the society in the best possible means each time. By providing fresh meals to the young kids of YMCA Boys Home we aim to provide them with the required nutrition essential for their progress and overall well-being. These young kids are the future of our country and it’s vital that the future should be in strong hands”.
The team at Sahara Star has been uninterruptedly aiding the community since the outbreak of this Global pandemic by distributing essential commodities, immunity booting medicines to our front line workers, associating with local hospitals, with an aim to come out stronger from these tough times.
