Clear Pani introduces eco-friendly packaged drinking water to reimagine Indian weddings

The pandemic has reaffirmed the significance of sustainability and living in harmonious balance with nature. This trend has reimagined the concept of a ‘big fat Indian wedding.’ Weddings have become more personal and intimate with limited guests, with sustainability redefining the celebrations. Opting for recycled outfits, locally sourced raw materials, and eco-friendly packaging are some of the ways to ensure sustainable weddings and mitigate carbon footprint.

Opting for eco-friendly packaged drinking water is the first critical step to adopting an eco-friendly approach during Indian weddings. Clear Pani- a premium bottled water company, aims to provide safe and clean water to people.

Its Clearth edition features green bottles- made of biodegradable plastic and red bottles containing 40% less plastic with water sourced from Tapi River. These water packages are available in various sizes, ranging from 200 ml, 500 ml and 1-litre to cater to the unique requirements of customers across India.

“Indian weddings are mostly extravagant, generating tonnes of non-biodegradable waste. The ban on single-use plastic is a formidable step to mitigate the adverse impact on the environment. Clear Pani’s Clearth Edition of packaged drinking water in eco-friendly bottles have emerged as a viable alternative to conventional packaged drinking water. They are available in various sizes and contain pure water passed through multiple quality standards, which is a boon to customers,” said Nayan Shah, Managing Director, Clear Pani.

Clear Pani has almost a decade of experience in packaging and bottling purified drinking water with several quality accreditations.  The company has embarked on a backward integration from its bottling facility to control the quality of raw materials such as Pet preforms and HDPE caps made from virgin material to ensure beverage’s strength, quality & hygiene.

Clear Pani’s repertoire of clientele includes various industries like hotels, and restaurants, which includes Taj and St Regis.

It is noteworthy that plastic accounts for a substantial portion of waste during Indian weddings. From single-use cutlery, packaged drinking water, signages, plastic sheets in polypropylene bags for caterings, all use plastic, which causes land and water pollution.
