Khatib has had 14-years of association with The Taj Group, including director of sales for The Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. He went on to open the Grand Hyatt Mumbai as the pre-opening director of sales, and subsequently moved to Star Cruises as country manager, India.
Prior to joining The Leela Group, he was with a private equity fund looking at developing a chain of budget hotels in India.
