Baur au Lac marvels a unique location overlooking the lake and the Alps located in its very own park in Zurich, Switzerland. A couple of a minute’s walk away from the Paradeplatz Financial District as well as the Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich’s shopping high street for festivities and purchasing winter wear.
The Baur au Lac is a 120-room hotel which has recently completed an approximately US $41 million renovation, revamping its Pavilion and the Terrasse restaurants along with multiple rooms and suites. Along with this it also wanted to upgrade the guest experience with regard to service.
The owner of Baur au Lac, Andrea Kracht says,”We realized that however high the quality of service you offer on location at the hotel, the guest’s travel experience will be heavily influenced by things you have no control of: for example the time which is spent between your flight lands in Zurich, and your arrival at the hotel. To make this experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible, we have managed to convince the Zurich airport authorities to allow us to send a Baur au Lac limousine to the airport, and for our chauffeur to meet guests immediately after passport control at the baggage claim and before passing customs!”
