New Delhi tops travel search list in India

New Delhi has emerged as the most popular travel destination for the month of May according to online travel community TripAdvisor.com.

The Capital came out on top, after being the most searched destination by travelers across India. The search was general and did not specify the purpose for travel as being for a holiday or business.

In the second spot was the northern hill resort of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, followed by the Indian financial capital Mumbai in third place. Bengaluru in the south came in as the fourth most searched destination while another hill station Shimla came in as number five.
