Marco Priolo has taken over as the new speciality chef for Stella, the Italian restaurant at The Leela Kempinski Mumbai.
Realising his penchant for cooking at the age of fourteen, he joined the academy of Gardone Riviera and ever since, his culinary journey has taken him through Italy and various other countries.
According to him, what brings him to India is the diversity of the country. His favourite cuisines apart from Italian of course, are Spanish followed by Thai, Japanese and Chinese.
Priolo takes great pride in having cooked for the likes of Kapil Dev, Pierce Brosnan, The King of Thailand, Fabio Capello – coach of the England Football team – and Silvio Berlusconi – Prime Minister of Italy.
